Red Caboose

1929 Santa Fe Caboose at it’s new home on the rear museum grounds was dedicated in 2023 to showcase the rich railroad history in Antioch.

This room captures Antioch’s rich railroad history.
The Caboose was originally moved to Antioch and became part of a well known restaurant for over 40 years.
The relocation was a monumental community backed project.
Did you know? The caboose is 42’1” long and 15’6” high.
The caboose body and tracks (wheels) weigh 59,900 lbs.
